We’re excited to announce our lineup of books and dates for our new book discussion series. Check out this page of our website for all the details. Thank you to everyone who participated in our survey.
Our first discussion will focus on healthcare and the insurance industry as we explore the New York Times bestseller/Washington Post Notable Book of 2017/NPR Best Books of 2017/Wall Street Journal Best Books of 2017 book An American Sickness: How Healthcare Became Big Business and How You Can Take It Back by Elisabeth Rosenthal.
We’re pleased to announce that Allie Morgan will be joining us for our discussion. Ms. Morgan is the Legislative Services Director at the Colorado Health Institute (CHI), an independent, nonpartisan health policy research organization. In this role, she manages legislative relations and provides regular research, presentations, and commentary on bills and debates at the state Capitol. She also coordinates the annual Hot Issues in Health conference, which informs Colorado policymakers and the broader health policy community, and manages CHI’s internal research agenda. Allie holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania and has been with CHI since 2014.
We hope you will join us at one or all of the book discussions planned for this year. All are welcome – even if you have only read a portion (or none) of the book.
