We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events. Meetings at all levels of the Democratic Party are open to the public. Due to the COVID-19 Stay-at-Home order, all meetings and events will be held virtually until further notice.
IN ORDER TO NOT DISTRACT FROM THE DISCUSSION OF RACIAL INEQUITY AND SYSTEMIC RACISM THAT HAS THREATENED BLACK LIVES FOR CENTURIES AND IS RIGHTFULLY AT THE FOREFRONT OF THE GLOBAL STAGE, OUR BOOK TALK ON THE AMERICAN HEALTHCARE SYSTEM HAS BEEN POSTPONED.
Join fellow Democrats as we discuss the book An American Sickness: How Healthcare Became Big Business and How You Can Take It Back by Elisabeth Rosenthal
We're pleased to announce that Allie Morgan will be joining us for our discussion. Ms. Morgan is the Legislative Services Director at the Colorado Health Institute (CHI), an independent, nonpartisan health policy research organization. In this role, she manages legislative relations and provides regular research, presentations, and commentary on bills and debates at the state Capitol. She also coordinates the annual Hot Issues in Health conference, which informs Colorado policymakers and the broader health policy community, and manages CHI’s internal research agenda. Allie holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania and has been with CHI since 2014.
At a moment of drastic political upheaval, An American Sickness is a shocking investigation into our dysfunctional healthcare system - and offers practical solutions to its myriad problems.
