Local Elections May 5

Edwards Metropolitan Board Election

Edwards Metro District will hold a regular board election on May 5. Edwards Metro is working with state and county health officials to develop election protocols to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus among voters.

Five candidates have been nominated for three board positions: incumbent Bill Simmons is term limited and will not be rerunning; incumbents Kara Heide and Todd Williams are rerunning as are candidates Joanna Kerwin, Steve Nusbaum and Mike Trueblood. The three candidates receiving the most votes will be elected. You can learn more about the candidates on the Vail Valley Partnership website.

Absentee ballot applications can be found here. Completed application forms must be returned to Designated Election Official Cheri Curtis by 5:00p.m, Tuesday, April 28. Options to return the application include in person, by mail, by fax, or by email.

Mountain Recreation District Board Election
